Poor student of Indian history

It seems Rahul Gandhi is the most desperate Congressman who wants his party to seize power in UP, a state which decides the fate of Centre as well. That’s why he seems to be producing such irresponsible and factually incorrect statements about his family. He’d better read Indian history carefully or ask his speechwriters to prepare a better speech.

Katrina just needs to chill

Listen Katrina, to be hit, you must hit "head-lines", "media" and more importantly your "luck" and then there will always be a light at the end of tunnel. Your saying I am tired of waiting for a hit is wrong. Actually you are tired of seeing other movies turning into hits in which you are not there. Don't you worry baby just relax, take it easy and success will come your way.

Respect women for what they are

We call woman a Griha-Lakshmi, Durga, Jhansi ki Rani, etc while on the other hand we treat them as unwanted commodity. Let us change this attitude and give woman the respect and honour she is deserves. There is no doubt when a son is born, it is time for great celebration in Indian society and if a girl is born, the whole house is in a state of gloom.

Leave Tendulkar alone

Sachin Tendulkar should not retire because of India’s World Cup debacle. He is not responsible for our poor outing in the West Indies. But where was the captain’s knock in a moment of crisis? I remember during 1983 World Cup - when everybody failed, Kapil Dev blazed with his 177 runs. We expected the same from Dravid. Let Sachin play for as long as he wants; he is class apart.

Lalu & discriminatory IIC

Refer to Vir Sanghvi's Counterpoint regarding Lalu Prasad Yadav and the India International Centre (IIC). The rejection of Lalu's membership to IIC was discriminatory, arbitrary and exclusive as pointed out by him in the peice of April 8, 2007. I also want to point out that it took a former Maharaja's resignation to elicit a comment from the usually prompt Vir.
